How does a guy from Sydney and a girl from Texas end up in Amsterdam?
Short answer: Sometimes, the internet does good. Turns out, dating app taglines aren’t just catchy; they actually work. “The app that’s meant to be deleted” (shoutout to Hinge – not sponsored).
Now, for the backstory…
Alex has spent over a decade in the photography world, handling everything from commercial shoots to full-scale creative direction. His passion for sports photography took him from Sydney to New York City, a leap that launched him deep into the industry. Over the years, he’s worked with major brands, professional athletes, and even earned a World Series ring along the way. As the Houston Astros’ team photographer for several seasons, Alex honed not only his technical skills but also his ability to navigate high-profile client relationships while delivering under pressure and bringing creative visions to life. After six years with the Astros, he transitioned to full-time freelance, working across the editorial and commercial landscape, bringing his creative vision to life in a variety of industries including food and beverage, luxury hotels, sports, and live entertainment.
Tara built her career as a technology project manager at a top global credit bureau and a leading fintech and data analytics company. But creativity has always been a part of who she is, whether through painting, ceramics, or photography. While climbing the corporate ladder and earning multiple promotions, she carved out time for her artistic pursuits, with her ceramic work even leading to commissioned pieces.
Her love for travel started long before she and Alex met. By then, she had already explored over 30 countries. So when they found each other, she did what any travel-obsessed person would do, took his hand and kept going. Their shared passion for adventure made it easy to dream bigger, and before long, they were seeking out new experiences and documenting them together.
Soon after meeting, we realized we share a love for travel, new experiences, and the desire to bring those moments to life. We craved meaningful adventures and sought to capture those stories through compelling photography and videography. As we balanced our careers, we made time to explore the world together, documenting each experience with intention and creativity. In 2024, we decided to turn our passion into a full-time venture and relocate to Amsterdam to make it all happen.
